This robot adds a motorized head with the distance sensor to the Bumper Car. It can pivot its head to look left, right, or straight.


The autonomous program makes it drive around the room, trying to avoid obstacles using both the distance sensor and the touch bumper. When it sees or runs into an obstacle, it stops and pivots its head left and right to look for a way out, then it turns whichever direction has the most room to continue. Two sample remote control programs allow you to drive it and pivot the head yourself.


This design builds on the Bumper Car, which is based on the 3-Wheel Base. Does it look strange without any arms? Maybe you can add some.
